Wayamba University of Sri Lanka becomes the first in making a breakthrough discovering in the world first-ever jellyfish species introduced by Sri Lankans, the species ‘Carybdea wayamba’.
Recently, a research team from the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries in Faculty of Livestock Fisheries and Nutrition has made this breakthrough discovery and many more findings from the Sri Lankan waters.
