The IEEE Wayamba University of Sri Lanka Student Branch held the a technical webinar about designing a GUI application using Java and MySQL on the 12th of January 2021 from 8.00 pm onwards via zoom. With 250+ attendees, a two-and-a-half-hour program was conducted for university undergraduates and those interested in designing a GUI application using Java and MySQL.
Mr. Kisal Basuru and Mr. Bharatha Karunarathna were the speakers of the webinar. Mr. Kisal Basuru commenced the webinar with the introduction to Java and MySQL. After that Mr. Bharatha Karunarathna continued the session with the designing the GUI application. It was a great assistance to undergraduates who wanted to do projects with Java and MySQL but didn’t have the necessary knowledge or needed to clear up any doubts about how to build such a project. The event was exciting, with a wonderful Q&A session, since most of the attendees raised questions and the speakers answered. It was an interesting and informative program that was filled with wholesome compliments from the audience for conducting the session successfully.
